![]() ![]() With rare exceptions, experiences of exclusion result when an employee interacts with other people: a member of the leadership, a direct manager, a peer, a subordinate or even a client. One key observation that I have described in detail in earlier blogs is that inclusion is invisible, and that what we notice are situations that make us feel excluded. ![]() Once you have done that, you would not even need to run the simulation to see the demographic makeup of your simulated company in other words, diversity is what you observe, or see, about the people in your organization.īut in order to understand how the company actually performs, you would need to start endowing your simulated people with behaviors: this might include coming to work in the morning, working on projects, taking vacations, and so on. In order to replicate, for example, the demographic makeup of your company, you’d need to have a snapshot of the personal characteristics of your employees, and make the simulated employees have personal traits that match those of your real company. ![]() Suppose you wanted to build a computer game that replicates the detailed activities of your company, down to the level of individuals.
